“Lip Biting Baby: Self-Portrait”

I needed to decompress last night, so I decided to do a little 2 hour painting while I watched The Voice. The old photo that was the basis of this painting proves that I’ve been biting my lip nervously since infancy. Never change baby Shana, never change.

Ecto-1 Tardis on Society6 & in tee form on RedBubble. This one was a doozy but truly worth it. It’s a different style from my usual and thus proved to be a ridiculously fun experiment. I might dabble into the line focused/minimalist color palette more often. We’ll see.

Flower Day It’s been a few days since I had a post so I thought I’d bring some quick warm-up sketches to the table for your entertainment. Today’s sketch was about ten minutes and much looser than my usual. Stark contrast is rare for me, but I think its cool so I’m going to roll with it for a bit.

I’m going to play around with some of my favorite characters in the form of the ever present (on my tumblr, at least) Queen chess piece. This should provide a whole new challenge for me as I continue to think of more ways I can play around with the concept for the next 15 illustrations. Should be fun…and exhausting…BUT FUN!!!
